As one part of the 175th anniversary of Knox Church this year, quotes are being read during Sunday worship services from sermons, prayers, and other writings of previous Knox Ministers.   On Sunday, February 24th, in connection with our sermon series, "Questions about Heaven," the following words were quoted from a sermon titled "The Resurrection of our Lord" by Rev. D.M. Ramsay, 5th Knox Minister (1897-1913) preached April 2, 1899:

"It is really the character of the Christian church for which we have to account, or rather that heavenly idea of it which has carried captive the minds and hearts of the greatest Christian teachers.   An effect so transcendent demands a cause no less than divine.  A supernatural society must have had a supernatural origin.  And brethren, he who had ennobled and exalted the men of other days can equally bless you.  'I am the Resurrection and the life, he that believeth on me, though he die, yet shall he live; and whosoever liveth and believeth on me shall never die.'
